NGAU BOON KEAT
NGAU BOON KEAT is the Co-Founder and Chairman of MyKasih Foundation. He is also Co-Founder and major shareholder of DIALOG and has been with the DIALOG Group since 1984. He is currently the Executive Chairman of DIALOG. He is also a board member of Kertih Terminals Sdn Bhd, Centralised Terminals Sdn Bhd and the Chairman of Langsat Terminal (One) Sdn Bhd. He is also a Director in the ePetrol Group of Companies and WGC 2012, the company incorporated to organise and stage the 25th World Gas Conference in 2012.
He holds a Bachelor Degree (Hons.) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Canterbury, New Zealand. He is a member of the Institution of Engineers, Malaysia and the Institution of Engineers, Singapore. He is also a Registered Professional Engineer with the Board of Engineers, Malaysia.
He began his career in 1972 as a Refinery Engineer with Mobil Singapore Pte Ltd. He worked at PETRONAS Malaysia from 1975 to 1980 where he held various positions from Production Engineer to Engineering Manager. He has more than 37 years of working experience in both upstream and downstream of the oil, gas and petrochemical industry.
TAN SRI ABDUL RASHID HUSSAIN
TAN SRI ABDUL RASHID HUSSAIN was appointed as a Director of MyKasih Foundation on 24 July 2009. He currently operates an investment holding company under Arah Restu Sdn Bhd that has an operating unit involve in publication in addition to investments in private equities. He is the Chairman of the Prime Minister of Malaysia's Exchange Fellowship Foundation.
He was the Executive Chairman of the RHB Group of Companies, a company he founded and built over a span of 20 years. He has more than 30 years of experience in the securities, fund management, merchant banking, commercial and consumer banking businesses and has spent most of these at the forefront of change and development of the financial services industry in Malaysia.
He has been an active advocate in the development and evolvement of Malaysia and also continues to devote a great deal of his time to philanthropic initiatives. He is a founding member of the Prime Minister of Malaysia's Fellowship Exchange Foundation which was founded in 1993 with the objective of promoting education and encouraging learning in all fields through awarding grants and scholarships to deserving Malaysian individuals.
TAN SRI DATO' SERI MEGAT NAJMUDDIN BIN DATO' SERI DR HJ MEGAT KHAS
TAN SRI DATO' SERI MEGAT NAJMUDDIN BIN DATO' SERI DR HJ MEGAT KHAS was appointed as a Director of MyKasih Foundation on 30th September 2009. He currently sits as the Non-Executive Chairman of 5 public listed companies, i.e. Tradewinds Corporation Berhad, Asian Pac Holdings Berhad, Formis Resources Berhad (formerly known as My-Infotech (M) Berhad), MajuPerak Holdings Berhad and SEG International Berhad. He sits as an Independent Non-Executive Director on the Board of Salcon Berhad.
He holds an Honours Degree in Law from University of Singapore. He is prominent in the corporate sector and holds several important posts. He is the President of both the Federation of Public Listed Companies Berhad ("FPLC") and the Malaysian Institute of Corporate Governance ("MICG").
He was a member of the High Level Finance Committee of the Ministry of Finance and Capital Market Advisory Council of the Securities Commission ("CMAC"). He was a member of the 2nd National Economic Consultative Council ("NECC2") and the Central Bank's Corporate Debt Restructuring Committee ("CDRC"). He now sits on UMNO Malaysia's Disciplinary Committee. He is also active in the Institute of Integrity Malaysia ("IIM"), Transparency International Malaysia (TIM), and an Adjunct Professor at Faculty of Law, UUM. He is currently sits as a member of Bank Negara Malaysia's Financial Directors' Education Steering Committee and Advisory Board of Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).
HO KAY TAT
HO KAY TAT was appointed as a Director of MyKasih Foundation on 30th September 2009. He is the Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of The Star Publication (M) Berhad.
He holds a Bachelor Degree in Social Science (Hons.) majoring in Political Science from Universiti Sains Malaysia.
He was appointed Managing Director and Editor-in-Chief of The Edge and The Edge Financial Daily from 2005 to October 1, 2009. He has been in journalism for 26 years. He spent 6 years with the New Straits Times group, Malaysia's biggest newspaper company. He joined The Edge, a business and investment weekly in Malaysia, as Editor in August, 1996. He also assumed the role of Editor for Asia Inc, a regional business publication from 2003 until May 2005.
YBHG DATUK DR REBECCA FATIMA STA MARIA
YBHG DATUK DR REBECCA FATIMA STA MARIA was appointed as a Director of MyKasih Foundation on 22 January 2010.
A government employee, she is currently the Secretary General at the Ministry of International Trade and Industry. Datuk is also the Deputy Chairman of SME Corporation.
She has served at the Emmaus Counselling Centre, St Francis Xavier Church Petaling Jaya from 1993 to 2009 and was the director of the Centre from 2007 to 2009.
DATUK BADLISHAM GHAZALI
Datuk Badlisham Ghazali was appointed to the Board of the MyKasih Foundation on August 2, 2010.
A Malaysian, he currently serves as the CEO of Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC). Previously, he was with Hewlett-Packard (HP) Malaysia for 18 years where he was a Director and Country General Manager of HP Technology Solutions Group (TSG).
He holds a B.Sc Degree majoring in Computer Science from the University of Northern Illinois, USA and Diploma in Computer Science from Mara Institute of Technology, Malaysia.
Datuk Badlisham is a Member of the Ministry of Education's Cluster School Advisory Board and the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation's National Science Centre Advisory Board. He is also the Adjunct Professor with the Multimedia Faculty of Limkokwing University of Creative Technology, having held the post since February 2008.
SENATOR DR CHRISTOPHER JOHN BACK
Senator Dr Christopher John Back was appointed to the Board of the MyKasih Foundation on August 2, 2010.
An Australian, he currently serves as a Senator for Western Australia (WA) in the Parliament of Australia. His previous experiences include amongst others; Chief Executive Officer of the Australia Government Trading Entity for seven years, Chief Executive Officer of State Government Department of Australia for two years, Member of the Senior Executive Service of the State Government of Australia for nine years, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of private sector companies in Tasmania WA, Australia, Chief Executive Officer of Rottnest Island Authority, WA's premier tourism resort, Chief Executive Officer of an Australian company with offices in SE Asia, India and the Middle East, marketing hardware and software solutions for military, oil industry and commercial application in the protection of high value assets and enhanced logistics, Managing Director of the Shell Company's Tasmanian state wide operations.
Senator Dr Christopher John Back was also a practicing Veterinarian for eighteen years in both private and government sectors, and an active member of several other organisations in Australia such as; Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (W.A.), Catholic Education Commission of WA from 1985 to 1994, Veterinary Panel consultant to the Western Australian Turf Club from 1976 to 1989, Curtin University Community Consultative Committee from 1995 to 1997, Bush Fires Board of W.A. from 1995 to 1997, State Emergency Management Advisory Committee from 1995 to 1997, Foundation Chairman of the W.A. Arson Task Force, Australasian Fire Authorities Council from 1995 to 1997, Calvary Private Hospital Board member in Tasmania, 1998 to 2000.
He has a degree in Bachelor of Veterinary Science (1971) from the University of Queensland, a Postgraduate Degree in Business Management (part completed) from Curtin University W.A and was a Visiting Academic at the University of California, Davis, 1979/80 and 1984, University of Kentucky, 1980.
