Smart Belanja (March 14, 2010)
MyKasih adopts a holistic approach in its welfare programme. It provides education and skills training to members of the recipient families. As with the children, mothers and other adult members benefit from workshop that educate them to be better at managing their daily spending. Supported by LPPKN Selangor, experts shared their knowledge in basic financial literacy which included smart budgeting and spending, and the importance of savings no matter how little there is, to help them cope with challenging times.
The one-day workshop on March 14, 2010 was well received and it was encouraging to see many gave up their weekend to be at the Community Rehabilitation Centre in Selayang.
