Smart Belanja Programme (May 22, 2010)

In our effort to further promote smart spending amongst families of MyKasih, a 'Smart Belanja' workshop was held to help them identify, plan and budget their spending habits both wisely and more effectively.

Held in collaboration with the National Population and Family Development Board (LPPKN) Selangor and Agency for Counselling & Financial Management (AKPK), the 'Smart Belanja' workshop was held on 22nd May 2010 at Lembah Pantai Community Centre and attended by 14 families from Lembah Pantai. Some of the topics discussed were;

How to plan their monthly expenditure
To identify good and bad investments
Planning for family expenses and
To understand between needs and wants when making purchases

With the assistance and guidance from the facilitators from LPPKN, the families were then taught the basics of planning and how to budget their expenses better through the various yet interesting activities that were held throughout the programme.

We would like to thank LPPKN Selangor and AKPK for holding this workshop and we hope to work together again in the near future!
