MyKasih pioneered a new way of getting food aid to the poor & needy. Using an electronic payment system developed by ePetrol, recipient families are now empowered to make their own purchasing decision to select and pay for exactly what they need, all with just a swipe of their MyKad. MyKasih enables the recipients to maintain their self-esteem and dignity in spite of their hardships.
Under this Programme, the housewife of the recipient family is credited with a bi-monthly allowance deposited in her MyKasih account which can be used for purchases of essential food items at designated retail outlets by using her MyKad with a PIN. No cash changes hands at any point, which means the system is seamless, easy-to-use and transparent.
