On 31st May 2018, The Store Group concluded a public coinbox donation campaign, "Weaving A New Future" which ran from 1 October 2017 to 30 March 2018 in all its 75 outlets nationwide. The six-month campaign raised RM 108,000 which was donated to MyKasih Foundation to support two Orang Asli community learning centres in Gerik, Perak, and Orang Asli families in Sungai Siput and Gerik through the ‘Love My Neighbourhood’ food aid programme. Our Chairman and Co-Founder, Tan Sri Dr Ngau Boon Keat, said “We would like to express our deepest appreciation to The Store Group for selecting MyKasih Foundation once again as the sole beneficiary of The Store Group’s charity campaign”. Last year, The Store Group ran the same coinbox campaign between the months of April and September, which raised RM 106,000. The sum was channelled to MyKasih to support 110 families in Sungai Siput and Gerik with food aid. Under the one-year food aid programme, beneficiaries receive a monthly allowance of RM 80 through their MyKad account, which can be spent on approved essential food items at participating retail outlets.

140 golfers made the best out of the morning’s fair weather and excellent ground conditions at the Valley Course of the Glenmarie Golf & Country Club on 6 August 2016. The sixth annual charity golf tournament organised by MyKasih Foundation successfully raised RM 907,000 through flight sponsorships and cash donations. Dialog Group Berhad (DIALOG) was the main sponsor, having taken up a total of 10 flights worth RM 180,000. All the way from Tennessee, Paul Gould and his family, who are regular supporters of MyKasih since 2012, renewed their yearly pledge towards the charity golf event. “The success of this charity golf tournament demonstrates our donors’ belief in the programmes we deliver to improve the communities’ wellbeing. We are grateful for your continued support over the years, however there is much more that needs to be done. We hope that more companies will join us in our efforts to assist finally-burdened families in meeting their basic needs for food and education”, said Tan Sri Dr Ngau.

With sponsorship from Bursa Malaysia Berhad, we have successfully carried out a health screening activity on Saturday 12th May 2018 at Kampung Kedled, Pos Piah, Perak, for recipients of our "Love My Neighbourhood" programme. Our utmost appreciation to Bursa Malaysia, Klinik Lawatan Pasukan Bergerak Orang Asli (PBOA) Kuala Kangsar and Klinik Pergigian Kuala Kangsar! The screenings included Body Mass Index (BMI), blood pressure, blood glucose, tuberculosis, pap smear, as well as dental treatment performed by medical professionals. There were also talks on nutrition and hygiene to create awareness about health and wellbeing. This health screening initiative, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, forms part of our Love My Neighbourhood programme for the MyKasih food aid recipients.
