The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic has been felt by local musicians. For more than three months, any concerts and performances involving many spectators were not allowed. However, the music industry has begun to breathe again as artistes look for new alternatives to entertain fans, and even uplift the community in these trying times.

Bigo Live X K-Clique Online Concert is the first-ever collaboration between top livestreaming application in Malaysia Bigo Live, K-Clique and MyKasih Foundation. Normally, Bigo Live users would send virtual gifts to their favourite Bigo content creators. This time, all virtual gifts will be exchanged for cash and donated to MyKasih Foundation.

K-Clique group manager, Syazwan Rimin, said, “This virtual concert is the best way for the group to socialize with fans and raise funds for those in need at the same time. The group’s latest release, Merais, has garnered over 3.6 million views on YouTube and fans can definitely look forward to a special performance of this song during the concert.”

MyKasih Foundation also expressed its support for this concert. “Since the PKP order was implemented, many NGOs have been affected either in terms of raising funds or to distribute aid to the needy. However, MyKasih Foundation is quite lucky because we use Mykad chip technology to distribute welfare assistance efficiently and accurately to targeted recipients through the ‘Love My Neighborhood’ Food Aid Program and our ‘Love My School’ Student Scholarship Program, “said Tan Sri Dr Ngau Boon Keat, Chairman of MyKasih Foundation.

Currently, as many as 300,000 families from the underprivileged (or B40), including 20,000 primary and secondary school students across the country have received assistance from company contributors as well as individuals through the MyKasih Foundation initiative.

K-Clique fans and Bigo Live users can tune in to the concert for free on the Bigo Live app by following Bigo ID: KinabaluClique.
