Health Awareness

Carried out in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and the National Population and Family Development Board (LPPKN), the objective of health awareness programmes is to support the overall well-being of MyKasih recipients.

Activities include health talks and group discussions on highly relevant topics such as disease prevention and early detection, family planning, nutrition, and healthy living.

Participants also receive basic medical screenings to check blood pressure, body mass index, glucose, and cholesterol levels.

Vision Screening and Free Spectacles

Good vision plays a vital role in a child’s learning, confidence, and daily life. Yet for many, it often goes unnoticed.

To address this need, MyKasih collaborated with the Rotary Club of Puchong Centennial. To date, nearly 1,000 students have had their vision screened, with 180 prescription spectacles distributed to those who needed them.

Health Awareness in Rural Orang Asli
Communities

Especially in remote areas where access to healthcare can be challenging, community representatives are trained and empowered to take swift action when health concerns arise.

Additionally, nutrition security plays a vital role in building resilience. Through the nine rural Orang Asli learning centres which MyKasih supports, children are assured of daily healthy meals and fortified milk drinks.
